Hi, I'm Carie.

I’m a psychotherapist, yoga teacher, coach, and retreat facilitator.

My work is grounded in curiosity about what helps people feel more fully alive, more connected to themselves, and more able to create lives that actually fit.

For years, I have worked with people through conversation: listening closely, noticing patterns, asking better questions, and helping make sense of the places where life feels stuck, painful, confusing, or ready for change.

Over time, I became increasingly interested in what happens beyond insight.

I don’t believe there is one right way to change.

Sometimes change begins with understanding. Sometimes it begins with action. Sometimes it begins with rest. Sometimes it begins by getting out of your own head and back into your body.

I am less interested in helping people become who they think they should be and more interested in helping them become more honest about who they are, what they want, and how they want to live.

Psychology meets embodiment.

My background in psychotherapy gives me a deep respect for the complexity of human behavior, relationships, identity, and change. Yoga and embodied practice remind us that we are not only thinking beings. We are physical beings with nervous systems, habits, sensations, instincts, desires, and limits.

A life outside the office matters too.

Travel. Community. Nature. Food. Movement. Art. Dance. Friendship. Rest. Adventure.

I do not see these things as distractions from meaningful inner work. Often, they are part of it. A life is not only something we understand. It is something we participate in.

Who in the world are you?

Who are you when you are paying attention? What matters to you now? What are you ready to leave behind? What are you curious enough to move toward?

I don’t think those questions have permanent answers. I think we keep living into them.
